Fees
Trade licence fees in 2026
How much you pay for the notification and other acts — and how to save 20 % by filing electronically.
Schedule of administrative fees
| Act | Fee | Electronically (−20 %) |
|---|---|---|
| First notification of a trade (entry into business) | 1,000 Kč | 800 Kč |
| Each further notification / application for a concession | 500 Kč | 400 Kč |
| Change of details + new extract (e.g. business address, sídlo) | 100 Kč | 80 Kč |
| Suspension / cancellation of a trade | 0 Kč | — |
| Extending an unqualified trade (živnost volná) by a further field | 0 Kč | — |
Rates under Act No. 634/2004 Coll. (item 24). If you notify several trades at once, you pay the fee only once, at the highest rate.
How and where to pay
Duty stamps (kolky) were abolished as of 1 January 2025. You pay the fee in cash or by card at the office, by bank transfer, or via the payment gateway when filing online.
Two rules that save money:
- 20 % discount for electronic filing — from 1,000 Kč down to 800 Kč.
- You pay only once — even if you notify several trades at the same time.
How much you pay in practice
Registering a trade for the very first time — whether it is an unqualified trade (živnost volná), a craft trade, a regulated trade, or a permit (concession) trade, the same entry rate of 1,000 Kč (800 Kč electronically) always applies.
Extending your unqualified trade with another field of activity (for example, you already run a retail business and want to add wholesale) — this is the same trade, just another field under Annex No. 4, so you pay nothing.
Registering an entirely new trade alongside your existing one (for example, adding a craft trade to your existing unqualified trade) — this is a further, separate notification, costing 500 Kč (400 Kč electronically).
Registering several trades at once (say, two craft trades when you first enter business) — you pay only once, at the highest rate applied.
Where the fee actually goes
You pay directly to the trade licensing office (živnostenský úřad) handling your notification — not to the tax office or any other authority. If paying by bank transfer, ask the office for its account number and variable symbol; the office usually issues the extract with your IČO only once the payment is credited.
